Why Lease the Audi RS Q8?

There are not many cars left like this. The RS Q8 is a large family SUV with a twin turbocharged 4.0 litre V8 under the bonnet, producing 600PS and 800Nm, and it will reach 62mph in 3.8 seconds while carrying five people and their luggage. The performance version takes that to 640PS, 850Nm and 3.6 seconds.

Both are sold alongside each other, so this is a genuine choice rather than one replacing the other. Power goes through an eight speed tiptronic automatic and quattro all wheel drive, which is how a vehicle this heavy puts that much power down without drama.

RS Q8 or RS Q8 performance?

RS Q8

600PS and 800Nm, 0 to 62mph in 3.8 seconds. Already more performance than any road realistically allows, and the sensible one of the two.

RS Q8 performance

Up to 640PS and 850Nm, 0 to 62mph in 3.6 seconds. Two tenths and 40PS, which matters if it matters to you.

Carbon Black and Carbon Vorsprung

Two further specifications of the performance, adding carbon exterior detailing and, on Carbon Vorsprung, close to everything Audi offers.

Practically they are the same car, so this is a question of how far you want to go rather than what you give up. Tell us which specification you are after and we will price the options side by side.

What It Costs to Run

Worth being honest about this, because it is where people get caught out. There is no diesel RS Q8, no mild hybrid version and no plug-in hybrid. The only engine is a 4.0 litre twin turbo petrol V8, so there is no efficiency story to tell you and we are not going to invent one. Fuel, tyres and servicing on a 600PS two and a half tonne SUV are all substantial.

That matters most if you were thinking of taking it as a company car, because on benefit in kind this is close to the worst case: a large, powerful petrol with no electrification. If the tax position is what is driving your decision, say so and we will point you at something else entirely rather than waste your time. If you are leasing it personally and you know exactly what you are choosing, it is a remarkable thing and we will get on with finding you the best terms on it.

Leasing an Audi RS Q8

High performance SUVs are a sensible thing to lease rather than buy, because they are exactly the cars where nobody can tell you confidently what the residual will be in three years. On contract hire that risk belongs to the funder, and you agree a fixed monthly figure instead.

A maintenance package is worth pricing here more than on almost any other car, because tyres on something this heavy and this powerful are a serious recurring cost and a package turns them into one fixed figure. Our leasing guides cover term and mileage, and business leasing explains the company position.

Audi RS Q8 Leasing FAQs

A twin turbocharged 4.0 litre petrol V8, producing 600PS and 800Nm in the standard RS Q8 and up to 640PS and 850Nm in the performance version. Power goes through an eight speed tiptronic automatic and quattro all wheel drive.

0 to 62mph in 3.8 seconds for the RS Q8 and 3.6 seconds for the performance. Those are supercar figures from a vehicle that seats five and takes a full load of luggage.

40PS, 50Nm and two tenths of a second. The performance has up to 640PS against 600PS, and it is also the version offered in Carbon Black and Carbon Vorsprung specifications. Practically they are the same car.

No. The only engine is the 4.0 litre twin turbo petrol V8, with no diesel, no mild hybrid and no plug-in hybrid option. If running costs or company car tax are driving your decision, this is not the car and we would tell you so.

Not on tax. A large, powerful petrol with no electrification sits at the wrong end of the benefit in kind bands, and bands change each tax year. Most RS Q8s we place are personal agreements for that reason, and if you need something tax efficient we will point you elsewhere.

The Q8 e-tron, which is the separate fully electric model, was discontinued in early 2025. That is a different car. The combustion Q8, SQ8 and RS Q8 are still sold by Audi in the UK.

No. There is one body style, a five door SUV coupe, so the sloping roofline is already part of the car. There is no long wheelbase version either.

LetsLease is a credit broker rather than the lender. We arrange the agreement and place it with a funder such as Lex Autolease, Novuna, Ayvens or Santander, and that funder owns the vehicle and holds the agreement with you. Because we work across several funders rather than one, we can compare how each prices the same car.
