Compare live Genesis GV60 Magma lease deals below from an independent, whole of market broker. The first car from Genesis's Magma performance division, with 650PS, 0 to 62mph in 3.4 seconds and a five year servicing plan included. Compare it with the standard GV60, the GV70, or the rest of the Genesis range.
Because it is a genuinely fast electric SUV that almost nobody else on your road will have. The Magma produces 650PS in Boost mode, gets to 62mph in 3.4 seconds and runs to 164mph, and it is the first car from Genesis's new Magma performance division rather than a trim level with badges.
The engineering is real too. The track is 50mm wider and the ride height 20mm lower than a standard GV60, on 21 inch forged wheels. Its closest relative is the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, which shares the underpinnings and a similar output, and the obvious German alternative at this kind of pace is the BMW iX2 in its warmest form, though neither offers what Genesis includes with the car.
| Measurement | Figure |
|---|---|
| Battery | 84kWh |
| Power, Boost mode | 478kW, 650PS |
| Power, without Boost | 448kW, 609PS |
| Torque | 790Nm with Boost, 740Nm without |
| 0 to 62mph | 3.4 seconds |
| Top speed | 164mph |
| WLTP range, combined | 264 miles |
| WLTP range, city | 329 miles |
| Max DC charging | 265kW, 10 to 80 per cent in about 18 minutes |
| Max AC charging | 11kW |
| Wheels | 21 inch forged |
| Kerb weight, from | 2,240kg |
| Seats and doors | 5 and 5 |
The Boost mode is worth understanding rather than skipping. It is a short burst function that lifts output from 609PS to 650PS and torque from 740 to 790Nm, which is where the 3.4 second figure comes from. The car is not permanently 650PS, and 609PS is hardly a hardship.
Now the honest trade off, and it is the one thing we would want you to think about before signing. 264 miles of combined WLTP range is modest for a car of this price and size. It rides on 21 inch wheels at a lower ride height, both of which cost efficiency, and anyone driving it in the way it invites will see considerably less than the official figure on a cold motorway. What offsets it is the 265kW charging, which takes it from 10 to 80 per cent in around 18 minutes on a fast enough charger, so the stops are short even if they are more frequent. If you do very long motorway journeys regularly, we would rather you knew that now.
Genesis does ownership differently from the German brands, and on a lease it is worth real money because it removes costs you would otherwise be paying separately.
Two things worth checking rather than assuming. The 30 mile radius is the catch on the collection service: Genesis has around fourteen UK locations, so a good deal of the country sits outside it, and it is worth confirming your postcode before you count that as a benefit. And the current Care Plan does not mention a courtesy car, although earlier coverage of the brand described one, so if that matters to you ask us to get it confirmed in writing rather than taking an older article at face value.
The GV60 holds a five star Euro NCAP rating from September 2022, with 89 per cent for adult occupant protection, 87 per cent for child occupant protection and 88 per cent for safety assistance. The weakest of the four scores was 63 per cent for vulnerable road user protection.
One qualification belongs with that, and you will not find it on most pages. Euro NCAP's rating lists the variants it covers, and for the GV60 those are the 168kW rear drive car and the 234kW and 360kW four wheel drive cars. The Magma's 478kW powertrain is not among them, and the car tested was the 234kW version. The structure and the safety equipment are shared, so this is not a reason for concern, but it does mean the rating does not formally extend to the Magma and we are not going to present it as though it does. The 2022 test date matters too, because Euro NCAP's protocols have tightened since.
We are going to be straight with you here rather than print a number we cannot stand behind. Genesis UK does not publish a boot capacity for the Magma, and the figures circulating elsewhere disagree with each other because they are measured to different points: one widely quoted figure of 670 litres is almost certainly measured to the roof, an Australian source gives 520 litres, and the standard GV60 is usually quoted at 432 litres to the window line. The body is the same as the standard GV60, so that is the sensible frame of reference. Genesis UK does not publish a braked towing figure either. If either number decides it for you, ask us and we will get both confirmed from Genesis in writing before you commit to anything.
Genesis is Hyundai's luxury brand and it is a small operation in Europe. The UK is one of only three European Genesis markets, alongside Germany and Switzerland, and the range here has been pared back: the G70 saloon and GV80 SUV are no longer imported. Since January 2025 Genesis UK has taken new orders on electric cars only, so the petrol and diesel models are no longer part of the forward range.
That is not a warning, and the network here is growing rather than shrinking, with retail partners added in Leeds and Cannock among others. It is simply context you should have, and it is one of the better arguments for leasing rather than buying a car from a brand still establishing itself. On a lease the funder carries the residual value risk, not you. You hand the car back at the end of the agreement whatever the used market has decided a small volume luxury brand is worth by then, which on a performance derivative of a niche model is a genuine protection. Our guide to electric car residual values explains how that is priced.
Two numbers drive most of your monthly cost: the initial rental and your annual mileage. A larger initial rental brings the monthly figure down, and the mileage you choose sets the contract. Be realistic about it, because excess mileage is charged at the end and this is not a car you will want to drive gently.
On a fully electric car, business leasing and salary sacrifice are where this becomes a very different proposition, because electric company cars attract far lower Benefit in Kind company car tax than petrol or diesel and the saving scales with the value of the car. On something with this list price the difference against a petrol equivalent is substantial. Rates are set per tax year and rise on a published schedule, so check the current figure, and we are a credit broker rather than a tax adviser so your accountant should confirm your own position.
Two practical things we would flag. Tyres, because 21 inch Pirellis on a 2,240kg car with 650PS are not cheap and they will not last long if you enjoy it, so ask us whether a maintenance package that includes them is worth it for your mileage. And insurance, which on a car this quick from a brand with few UK comparables is worth getting a quote on before you sign rather than after.

650PS and 790Nm in Boost mode, or 609PS and 740Nm without it, from an 84kWh battery driving all four wheels. Boost is a short burst function rather than a permanent state, and the 3.4 second 0 to 62mph time is measured with it engaged.
264 miles combined on the official WLTP test, or 329 miles on the city cycle. That is modest for a car of this size and price, because the 21 inch wheels and lowered ride height both cost efficiency, and driving it enthusiastically will reduce it further. Charging at up to 265kW offsets some of that by keeping the stops short.
It accepts up to 265kW on a DC charger, which takes it from 10 to 80 per cent in around 18 minutes on a 350kW unit. On AC it takes up to 11kW. That is among the quicker charging rates at this size and it matters more than usual on a car with a modest official range.
Yes. UK specification was revealed in February 2026, a retailer tour ran through the spring, and it went on sale in the UK during the summer. Genesis UK's own configurator is live for it and it appears as a bookable derivative in the UK leasing feeds.
Power, chassis and purpose. The Magma produces 650PS in Boost mode against the standard car's lower outputs, and the track is 50mm wider and the ride height 20mm lower, on 21 inch forged wheels. It is the first car from Genesis's Magma performance division rather than a styling pack on an existing model.
The GV60 range holds a five star rating from September 2022, with 89 per cent for adult occupant protection and 63 per cent for vulnerable road users. The variants that rating formally covers are the 168kW, 234kW and 360kW cars, and the Magma's 478kW powertrain is not among them, so the rating does not explicitly extend to it. The structure and safety equipment are shared.
Genesis UK does not publish a figure for the Magma, and the numbers circulating elsewhere are measured to different points, so we will not print one. The body is the same as the standard GV60, which is usually quoted at around 432 litres to the window line. Ask us and we will get it confirmed from Genesis before you order.
Genesis UK does not publish a braked towing capacity for it, so we cannot give you a figure we would stand behind. Figures quoted on overseas sites are for other markets and should not be relied on here. If towing matters, ask us and we will get it confirmed in writing.

Yes, and the retail network has been growing. The UK is one of only three European Genesis markets alongside Germany and Switzerland, the range has been reduced with the G70 and GV80 no longer imported, and since January 2025 new orders have been taken on electric cars only.
As a fully electric car it sits in a far lower Benefit in Kind company car tax band than a petrol equivalent, and because the saving scales with the value of the car it is proportionally larger on something at this level. Rates are set per tax year and rise on a published schedule, so check the current figure and have your accountant confirm your own position.
LetsLease is a credit broker rather than the lender. We arrange the agreement and place it with a funder such as Lex Autolease, Novuna, Ayvens or Santander, and that funder owns the vehicle and holds the agreement with you. Because we work across several funders rather than one, we can compare how each of them prices the same car.
