Compare live Lexus LBX lease deals below from an independent, whole of market broker. Lexus's smallest SUV, a full hybrid returning up to 62mpg with a five star Euro NCAP rating awarded in 2024. Compare it with the UX, the larger NX, or the rest of the Lexus range.
Because it is the cheapest way into a Lexus and it does not feel like a compromise. The LBX is a full hybrid returning up to 62mpg, which is genuinely frugal rather than optimistically frugal, and it carries a five star Euro NCAP rating awarded in 2024, which is recent enough to mean something. Lexus build quality and dealer service come with it.
It is a small car, so judge it on that rather than on the badge. Against other badges, the Audi Q3 and the BMW X2 are the premium small SUVs most people put alongside it, and within Lexus the UX is the next step up.

Our advice here is unusually firm: take the front wheel drive car unless you genuinely need all wheel drive. The table is why. The all wheel drive LBX is slower, thirstier, sits in a worse company car tax band, and gives up 85 litres of boot space, which on a car this size is the difference between a usable boot and a tight one. It is also only offered on Takumi and Takumi Design, the two most expensive grades, so there is no inexpensive route to it.
That is not a criticism of the system, which does what it is meant to do on a wet hill or a muddy field entrance. It is a warning that the trade is steeper than it looks, and plenty of people tick it assuming it costs them nothing but the price. If you want it, we will quote both so you can see the tax difference and decide with the numbers in front of you.
The UK range runs Urban, Premium, Premium Plus, Premium Plus Design, Takumi and Takumi Design. The two Design grades are appearance variants rather than higher specifications, which is worth knowing because the names suggest otherwise. Lexus also sells occasional special editions such as the Original Edition and Vibrant Edition, which appear in leasing feeds alongside the core grades.
One detail affects your running costs more than the grade does. The economy and emissions figures move with wheel size, not just trim, because the LBX runs either 17 or 18 inch wheels. The headline 102g/km belongs to the 17 inch car. The industry database even carries a separate derivative for an 18 inch Premium for exactly this reason, so if you are comparing company car tax between two quotes, check they are on the same wheels before you conclude one is cheaper.
No. The LBX Morizo RR, the three cylinder turbo hot version with a manual gearbox, is sold in Japan and Australia and is not offered in the UK. Lexus Europe has said a UK launch is being considered and that homologation is being looked at, but described those plans as being in their infancy, and there is no UK launch date, no specification and no way to order one. It does not appear in any UK leasing feed. We are saying so plainly because it is covered widely in the motoring press and it would be easy to assume it is on the way. If it does come, this page will say so.
| Measurement | Figure |
|---|---|
| Boot, seats up, front wheel drive | 402 litres |
| Boot, seats down, front wheel drive | 994 litres |
| Boot, seats up, all wheel drive | 317 litres |
| Kerb weight | 1,280 to 1,415kg |
| Towing, braked | 750kg |
| Towing, unbraked | 550kg |
| Seats and doors | 5 and 5 |
Two things to flag. Lexus's own specification sheet lists the all wheel drive car's seats down figure as still to be confirmed, so we are not going to put a number against it: if that matters to you, ask and we will get it from Lexus. And 750kg braked is a low towing limit, which rules the LBX out for anything more than a small trailer. If towing is part of what you need, the NX or RX are the Lexus models to look at instead. Always check against the vehicle's own plated weights.
It holds a five star Euro NCAP rating awarded in 2024, with 82 per cent for adult occupant protection, 83 per cent for child occupant protection, 79 per cent for vulnerable road users and 76 per cent for safety assistance. That is a current rating under a recent protocol, which is worth more than it sounds: Euro NCAP's tests get harder over time, and several cars in this class are trading on five stars awarded years ago under easier criteria. Within the Lexus range the LBX has the most recent result of any model, and the UX's five stars date from 2019 and have expired. We give the test year with every rating on this site so you can compare them properly.
Two numbers drive most of your monthly cost: the initial rental and your annual mileage. A larger initial rental brings the monthly figure down, and the mileage you choose sets the contract, so give us the honest number rather than the hopeful one. Excess mileage is charged at the end of the agreement.
For a company car driver the LBX's appeal is its emissions. At from 102g/km it sits well below most petrol small SUVs, which matters because the Benefit in Kind band is set by CO2. Rates are set per tax year and change on a published schedule, and as the table above shows the figure depends on wheel size and drive layout, so the car you actually specify is what decides it. We are a credit broker rather than a tax adviser, so your accountant should confirm your own position. Our business leasing guides cover how the rest of it works.
A full hybrid also suits leasing well because there is nothing to plug in. Unlike a plug-in hybrid, the LBX delivers its economy whether or not you have a driveway and a charger, so the figures on this page are the figures you will get rather than the figures you would get if you charged it every night. For a lot of drivers in flats or on street parking that is the deciding factor.

A full hybrid. It pairs a 1.5 litre three cylinder petrol engine with an electric motor for a combined 136hp and will run on electricity alone at low speed. There is nothing to plug in, so it delivers its economy without you having to charge it.
Up to 62.7mpg on the official WLTP test in front wheel drive form, and 58.8mpg with all wheel drive. CO2 starts at 102g/km front wheel drive and 110g/km all wheel drive. The exact figure depends on wheel size as well as grade, because the LBX runs either 17 or 18 inch wheels.
Takumi and Takumi Design only. All wheel drive is not offered on Urban, Premium, Premium Plus or Premium Plus Design, so there is no inexpensive route to it in this range.
402 litres with the rear seats up in front wheel drive form, falling to 317 litres with all wheel drive, because the rear motor takes up space under the floor. Folding the rear seats gives 994 litres on the front wheel drive car. Lexus has not published a seats folded figure for the all wheel drive version.
Only if you genuinely need it. The all wheel drive car is slower at 9.6 seconds to 62mph against 9.2, returns 58.8mpg against up to 62.7, sits in a higher company car tax band and gives up 85 litres of boot space. It is also restricted to the two most expensive grades.
No. The hot Morizo RR version with its turbocharged engine and manual gearbox is sold in Japan and Australia only. Lexus Europe has said a UK launch is being considered and homologation investigated, but the plans were described as being in their infancy and there is no UK specification, date or way to order one.
It holds a five star Euro NCAP rating awarded in 2024, with 82 per cent for adult occupant protection, 83 per cent for child occupant protection, 79 per cent for vulnerable road users and 76 per cent for safety assistance. That is the most recent Euro NCAP result of any Lexus, and recent matters because the tests get harder over time.
Only lightly. It is rated at 750kg braked and 550kg unbraked, which covers a small trailer but not a caravan. If towing is important the larger NX or RX are the Lexus models to consider. Always check the figure for your specific trailer against the vehicle's own plated weights.
The LBX is the smaller and newer of the two, with a 1.5 litre three cylinder hybrid and a 2024 Euro NCAP rating. The UX is larger, uses a 2.0 litre hybrid with 199hp, and its Euro NCAP rating dates from 2019 and has expired. The LBX also has the bigger boot in front wheel drive form.
Appearance rather than equipment. Premium Plus Design and Takumi Design are styling variants of the grades they are named after, so do not read them as a step up in specification. The underlying equipment follows the Premium Plus and Takumi grades respectively.
It is a reasonable one for a petrol based car, because at from 102g/km it sits below most petrol small SUVs and the Benefit in Kind band is set by CO2. A fully electric car will still be in a much lower band. Rates are set per tax year, the figure depends on the wheels and drive layout you choose, and your accountant should confirm your own position.
LetsLease is a credit broker rather than the lender. We arrange the agreement and place it with a funder such as Lex Autolease, Novuna, Ayvens or Santander, and that funder owns the vehicle and holds the agreement with you. Because we work across several funders rather than one, we can compare how each of them prices the same car.
